A.A. Security - Code of Ethics

AA Security Ltd  - Code of Ethics

The management team at AA Security Ltd. take pride for taking on an ethical, principle based approach to business, by placing principles before profit.

For many years the security service industry has had negative aspects in terms of ethically running a security company. Our models suggest that by offering an ethical principal driven service, we can step out of this negative aspect.

We believe that this approach to service delivery provides a better outcome for our clients and their customers. This approach also provides better outcomes from our staff and the wider community, resulting in our services to be delivered at a high quality standard.

Our Code of Ethics ensures that:

·        We Will Be Honest and Respectful in all our Affairs
We will ensure that we work with openness, integrity and transparency with our clients and their customers, our staff, regulatory bodies and competitors.

·        We Will Only Take on Work We Can Deliver Efficiently
We will assess any new work assignments and contracts and only commit to deliver where we have the capacity and ability to do so.  We prefer to decline work assignments than deliver these to a poor standard.

·        We Will Respect the Rights of Others
We will actively work within the Human Rights Act (1998), and respect the right to liberty, life, freedom from torture and degradation, and freedom of expression.

·        We Will Work Constructively and Professionally With Our Competitors
We will operate “Fair Play” rules with our competitors by bidding for contracts fairly and demonstrating our strengths rather than highlighting their weaknesses.

·        We Will Support Organisations that Help to Reduce Crime
We will work collaboratively with Crime stoppers, Neighbourhood Watch and local action groups.

·        We Will Treat Our Staff Fairly and Responsibly
We will pay our staff fairly and support their continuing professional development through specialist training, extensive induction training, annual reviews and appraisals, the use of our prescribed disciplinary procedure and by offering assistance and support to staff members experiencing personal difficulties, such as family issues.

·        We Will Acknowledge Our Mistakes
We will respond to complaints constructively and reflectively and accept our failings where these become apparent. We will not be afraid to apologise when we have got things wrong.

Westminster Cathedral Night of Vigil

Thursday 17th May saw International Christian communities gathering at Westminster Cathedral drawn by increasing persecution of minorities in intolerant states.  The event was organised by Aid to the Church in Need a Catholic humanitarian group.

A. A. Security provided the security at the event without incident.  After the event the management sent their personal thanks for a job well done.  10 Officers were stationed at the event and duties included stage protection, procession management, crowd control, event security and stewarding.  We also provided static security officer for  access control to the rear hall of the cathedral that was being used as a changing room facility.

Event security service role increasing by the year!

This year we are pleased to announce that our Event Security portfolio is expanding rapidly.  Our security protected the Redbridge Carnival for an eighth year in a row.  Moreover, this year we also provided traffic marshalls to Havering Carnival and Event Security for the very High Profile Westminster Cathedral Night of Vigil for the Persecuted Church - Organised by Aid to the church in Need.

Our very professional services have been recognized for their quality and timeliness and we hope soon that other event organizers will join our list of satisfied customers.  Well done to all the officers involved.

Investors in People Champions meet at House of Lords to discuss possible ways to encourage growth.

Crowds await the departure of the Queen from Westminster Abbey

IIP Chiefs and IIP Champions enjoy a pleasant meal whilst discussing how to improve the way the scheme operates to benefit existing members whilst encouraging new members.

Poppies adorn grounds of  Westminster Abbey - a poignant reminder of Armistice day.

Statue of Oliver Cromwell a man who led the English civil revolt that was a major turning point for democracy we enjoy in contemporary Britain.

On the 16th of November at 1pm Wilson Chowdhry was invited to an IIP Ambassadors meal at the Atlee Room at the House of Lords.  The meeting was called so that IIP Chiefs' could consult with senior users' of the scheme, on how to encourage more commercial participation and improve usefulness of the scheme.

The meeting involved a discussion during a sumptuous meal in which topics ranged from;

  • Potential incentives - reduced employers NI for accredited companies, Award presentations for good performers, Training grants for newly accredited companies.
  • Value added benefits - Challenging for accreditation to be mandatory for Public Sector tenders.
  • Subsidies for new organisations
  • Promotion through industry specific media (rather than just National Papers, with more industry specific case studies).
  • Better communication with Purchasers to highlight the aims and benefits of the scheme.
Wilson arrived slightly late for the meeting, as whilst walking to the Houses of Parliament he noticed a huge crowd forming around Westminster Abbey and decided to observe proceedings.  It seemed this meeting coincide with the 400th Anniversary of the King James English translation of the Bible.  The event was visited by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the royal entourage was worth the wait.

Wilson still contributed significantly to the discussion and voiced concerns that the cost was prohibitive and clients needed better awareness of the holistic assessment process.  He also challenged for an annual award ceremony and industry specific promotion.

The King James Bible inspired leaders like George Cromwell who for a short term created a British Republic.  Our modern day democracy would simply not have succeeded without the revolution that Cromwell led.  Wilson believes that the economy of the UK today is ailing much like it was during the post-civil war era.  Perhaps a positive scheme championed by IIP could be just the tonic we need for a swift recovery.

A.A. Security volunteers gain deserved praise

Security Officer Michael took on role of Stage Manager and security - left of picture.

We have had heaps of praise from the Redbridge Carnival Committee and the East Ilford Business Partnership for the voluntary security provided by us at the Redbridge Carnival 2011 (held 10th - 11th September) and Redbridge Peace Concert 2011 (held 24th September). Both events were a huge success and had no major incident.  In fact during the Redbridge Peace concert a mother who was not watching the event thanked the security team who located a missing child in a matter of seconds.

We are aware that some of you covered all 3 days and cannot express our appreciation enough.  At a time so soon after the London riots that affected Redbridge more than the media portrayed, events like those mentioned above play a role in the restoration of peace.  Our input was no less important than other volunteers and your commitment for this unpaid role was gracious indeed.

With over 25 of our Security officers participating in these events we feel as if our contribution to this local community was significant.

Redbridge Police have said that the operation of years procession was better than in previous years and considering we have never had any serious incidents, that is a real impressive achievement.

Well done one and all.

Security Officer Haroon Yousaf kept order at the Redbridge Peace Monument installation.
